Facing a crescent-shaped beach of golden sand, with tall palms rustling in the breeze and views of the turquoise sea. Tangjong Jara Resort is and located on the pristine East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, offering a sanctuary of traditional luxury and well-being steeped in age-old Malay traditions. Based on the Malay concept of Sucimurni, which emphasises purity of spirit, health and well-being, this secluded hideaway encourages true rejuvenation of both body and spirit.

The architecture of Tanjong Jara Resort was inspired by 17th Century Malay palaces. Finished in local timber and rich fabrics, each room commands a view of the South China Sea or the resort’s tropical landscaped gardens.


The Bumbung Rooms and Serambi Rooms both offer views of the tropical gardens, although they they can be upgraded to rooms that offer idyllic ocean views. The Anjung Rooms have extra space, in luxurious semi-detached cottages, all facing the beach.
